Now on to my project.........

It's SK's first year annivesary.  I got to thinking about firsts in our family.  There are birthdays, haircuts, first day of school.  Then I thought vacations!  We took the kids to Disney World this past Christmas.  It was our youngest son's first visit.  He absolutely loved it!!!  He would just giggle and dance everytime he saw a character, especially Mickey Mouse and Goofy.   The photopass photographers enjoyed taking his picture, even when he was just waiting in line to see one of the characters.  Almost half of our pictures from our trip is of him.  I created a two page layout to honor our son's first trip to Disney.  I titled my layout with SK's Magical Memories file.  This file is the perfect title file for any of Disney's magical trips.

And what is a Birthday Blog Hop without presents?  I have two presents.  Present 1 - an SK file, winner's choice worth up to $7.50.  Present 2 - the candy you see below.  All you have to do is become a follower of my blog and give all of us at the hop some love on our posts.  Be sure to leave contact info with your comments.  I will pick the winners (using Random.org) and post the results on Monday.

Now to Ana's Blog.  Happy Hopping!

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Happy Friday!

I am sharing with you a summer card I made.

This card is a fun, simple card.  I used two SK files - Kiss - Summer file and Label It, Tag It, Frame It.  The font is from MTC.  The background paper is from a paper pad from Hobby Lobby.

I am entering this card in the Cameo Creations Challenge.  The theme is Summer. It thought this card fit that bill perfectly.

I hope my creation inspired you somehow.

Happy Thursday!

I am sharing with you today a card I created.  I am entering this card in the Creative Card Crew challenge.

The challenge is called Easy as 1 - 2 - 3.  The requirement is 1 of something, 2 of something, and 3 of something.  My card has 1 button, 2 colors of cardstock, and three ties with rhinestones.  The kite is from Scraptastical Kreations KISS - Summer file.  The two colors of cardstock, purple and cream, is stock from Hobby Lobby.  I used a basic card base from Studio G I had in my stash.

I hope my creation has inspired you in some way.

Much Scrappy Love,

Happy Wednesday!!

It's been over a week since I last posted.  Boy, time seems to just get away from me the older I get.  :-)

Today I wanted to share with you a card that I made for the Made Especially for You weekly challenge. This week the challenge is to use Heat Emobssing. I have never heat embossed before. As you know, I am new to crafting. So there will probably many posts where I have created something with a new technique or material.

I used a stamp from Hobby Lobby (I don't remember the brand name.  My daughter bought it for me.).  Then I embossed with Tim Holz Distress Powder (Aged Mahogany), layered some cardstock with paper from a paper pad, added three jewels for a bit of jazz.  Voila!

I think it's just adorable.  The stamp looks terrific with the embossing.

Hope my simple creation inspired you somehow.

Happy Monday!

Here is another card for you.

I made this card for the Made Especially for You challenge.  The challenge calls for a card featuring three eyelets.  I only own one style of eyelets.  I just started scrapping this past February.  Which means my stash is still coming along.  So, I had to work around the anchors you see here.  My husband is ex-navy and so is my Daddy.  That is the reason for the anchor eyelets.

I found a file on Silhouette that I thought worked wonderful with my anchors.  Instead of creating paper piecings with the file, I used it as a sketch.  I love using my pen holder.  I do not have a steady hand to do it freehand.  I heavily rely on my pen holder and Silhouette Cameo.

The label on the card is a Scraptastical Kreations file.  I just love their files.  So many to chose from and many different uses for each one.  I used the Label It, Tag It, Frame It file here.

Hope you enjoyed my creation.

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Happy Father's Day!

Today was a beautiful day here.  Great day to spend with Dad.

In honor of Dad's day, I am sharing two cards.

This card was made with Scraptastical Kreations Dad You Rock! and Stackables files.  Isn't this just cute?

For the card below, I used Scraptastical Kreations Father's Day Card file.  My husband is Mickey Mouse fanatic (as am I).  I do not know just how many Disney ties he owns, but I know it's A LOT!  So this was perfect for him.

I hope that my creations have inspired you in some way.

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Happy Saturday!

(It's Saturday here in the Midwest.)

Today I'm sharing with you a card.

I have entered this card in two challenges:

Mojo Monday Challenge 245

For the challenge a sketch is provided to work from.

Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge - #137 Embossing

Crafty Catz Challenge Blog Bagde

When I first saw the Mojo Monday sketch, I thought immediately of Scraptastical Kreations' Welcome Spring file.  The banners on the left side reminded me of the banners in that file (which is what I used here).  And the fence was perfect to use for the two rectangle shapes!  I took the fence and resized it to get a look I was happy with.  Then I embossed the cutouts with my Sizzix.

The circle is from Scraptastical Kreations' Sophistated Scallops file. I added a few paper flowers from my stash.  To finish ithe card off, I stamped a sentiment in black ink.

The background paper, banners, and outside of the scalloped circle is from a paper pad I bought at Hobby Lobby.  The fence and inner circle are Paper Studio cardstock.

I do love how this card turned out. All the elements seem to work well together and contrast at the same time.

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Happy Thursday!

I was looking for challenges and came across Freshly Made Sketches' current challenge.

I realized that another card I made would fit this sketch, if  turned it horizontally.  So, I entered in.

I used 4 Scraptastical Kreations files on my card.
I printed the digi stamp on white cardstock and colored in with Prismacolor colored pencils, blended with oil.

For the rectangles, I used a design from set 2 of the borders file, expanded the borders and cut off the extra portion to make it fit my card size. I cut three rounded balloons, added some twine, and tied with a yellow ribbon.

All cardstock I used is from Hobby Lobby stock. I finished off the card with a Happy Birthday stamp I purchased at Joann.com.

Tonya

Happy Tuesday!

It's been a few days since I've posted any creations.  Summer just started for the kids and we've been having some fun.

Even in the middle of all the fun, I created a card for the Made Especially for You sketch challenge that I wanted to share.

For this challenge a sketch was provided.

I used 4 Scraptastical Kreations files on my card.
I chose to use SK's Digi Stamp in honor of the challenge sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.  I printed it out on white cardstock and colored in with Prismacolor colored pencils, blended with oil.

For the two rectangles, I used a design from set 2 of the borders file, expanded it and cut off the extra portion to make it fit my card size.  I cut three rounded balloons, added some twine, and tied with a yellow ribbon.

All cardstock I used is from Hobby Lobby stock.  I finished off the card with a Happy Birthday stamp I purchased at Joann.com.

Hope you have enjoyed my creation.

Happy Saturday!

I am happy to share with you a door hanger I am displaying on my swinging door.  Also, I am entering my little creation in the Cameo Creations Birthday Blog Hop.

The blog hop is in honor of Monica's birthday. Happy Birthday Monica!!!  One of the challenges listed in the hop is to enter a birthday project.  Instead of the traditional human birthday celebrating a new year of life, I used the celebration of our country's independence as my inspiration, mainly because I have decorating my home with patriotic items all week.

And isn't the bear just adorable?  I love how he turned out.

I used only Scraptastical Kreations files for this.
All paper is from Hobby Lobby's basic cardstock.  I inked the edges of the paper piecing with Color Box fluid chalk in coordinating colors.  The sentiment is written using a blue gel pen, my bic holder for the Cameo, and Letter Delights thin font - Teacher

Hope you enjoyed my creation and be sure to stop by the hop.

Tonya

Happy Thursday!

I am sharing a layout I made for Cameo Creations challenge #9.

My inspiration for this LO was my youngest son.  I tend to find him asleep on some piece of furniture.  The Little Dreamers file from Scraptastical Kreations is perfect for this.
I love the Little Dreamers file.  I have many heartfelt memories from the nighttime routine of putting my babies to bed - bathtime, dressing and Johnson's baby lotion, then reading the all time favorite bedtime story, or two or three.  Turning on the night light and hearing my baby say "I love you Mommy.  Goodnight."  There is nothing sweeter than hearing those words.

As you may have figured out, I used only a portion of the Little Dreamers file.  And I rearranged those pieces to fit the look of my layout.  I enjoy taking files and changing them a bit to make my own creations.

This layout was fairly easy to create.  I used the SK file, created my own title and shadow with Make The Cut, grabbed some paper from my open stock stash purchased at Hobby Lobby.....and voila!  My layout was complete.

I enjoyed seeing this LO come together.  And I am very proud to be able to put it into my son's lifebook.

Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!

It's a gorgeous day here and the children have one day left of this school year.  So of course, I am spring cleaning and getting ready for the Summer.  With Summer comes Father's Day.  I wanted to share with you a card I made for my youngest children to give my husband for Father's Day.

This was an easy and fun card to make.

All paper piecings and shapes are from Scraptastical Kreations
The sentiment on the inside was written with my bic holder for the Cameo. I used a blue gel pen and Letter Delights thin font - slip thin.

Cardstock is from Joann and paper is from Hobby Lobby open stock.  I chalked the inside image for a bit of visual pop.

Have a great day!

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Good Afternoon and Happy Monday!

Today I am sharing a card creation.   Doesn't this card make you want a drink in a coconut?

I used several piecing files in my collection.  The one I am showcasing is the sun.  I borrowed that little cutie from the  Welcome Spring file at Scraptastical Kreations

I stamped Aloha with stamps and gold ink from the Stampabilities collection, and restamped in lime green ink from the bargain at Walmart.  Then cut around it with a pair of scissors I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

The burnt orange cardstock is from Joann.com
The sky and sand papers are from Hobby Lobby's open stock.

As you will come to know, I LOVE taking pieces of different files and putting them together to make my own one-of-a-kind creation.

Have a great day!

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Happy Sunday!

I wanted to share with you a layout I created for my daughter's 8th grade promotion ceremony photo (which will be taken this week.)  I used the color of her dress as my inspiration, turquiose and cream.

I just love how it turned out.

I used Let's Get Sketchy Challenge 13 sketch as my template for this project.
I used two Scraptastical Kreations files. The two large brackets are from Banner Blitz. And the rectangles and the flourish is from the Birdcage

Papers used are:
  •  Base paper is from the Melody Ross Artsy Urban pad.
  • Cream, burnt orange, and white papers are cardstock from Hobby Lobby.
  • Plaid and distress papers are from My Mind's Eye pad by Simply Delightful paper pad.

I used my bic pen holder from Hot Paws Creations, Letter Delights Journal Thin Font, and a green glitter gel pen to write the title.

The flower are from my general stash.  I cannot tell you the brand but they are were bought from Hobby Lobby.

Have a great day!

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya

Happy June!  I wanted to share with you today a card I made for this week's Little Scraps of Heaven Design Team challenge

I also entered this card in the Made Especially For You's weekly card challenge - Paper Piecing Technique.

I am very new to card making. But I am very happy with the way this turned out.  I think the Pizza chef is adorable.

To create this piece, I used the Mama Mia Pizzeria Collection set from LSHD.  I used basic, nontextured cardstock from Joann's for the cream and goldenrod papers.  The striped paper is from Hobby Lobby's paper pad, The Classics.  I inked the edges of the individual pieces with Color Box fluid chalk in Toffee and Dark Brown.  I stamped "Mama Mia" with an inexpensive stamp set I bought at Walmart in the bargain bin.  I stamped first with black ink, then restamped with gold.

Hope you enjoyed my card and have a great day!

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya
