Get Inky DT Inspirational Creation

Happy Saturday!

It's my day over at Get Inky Stamps.   Our current challenge is Onward & Upward....Skybound.

I think of nature and happiness.  And is more perfect than a rainbow?

For my card, I started with a Samantha Walker Silhouette file.  I accentuated the rainbow with Stickles (Xmas Red, Orange Peel, Yellow, Green, & True Blue).  I inked the clouds edges with blue fluid cat's eye chalk.

The sentiments are from Blue Moon's Whimsical Moon & Stars Stamp Set

I love the added detail of this stamp font.  It just screams fun, doesn't it?
I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Red Carpet Studio Challenge

Happy Sunday!

It's time for another Red Carpet Studio Challenge

Our theme is.............

"The Nutcracker"
Use ribbon and lace on your project.

I enjoyed this challenge so very much.  Nutcrackers are my favorite thing!!  I have over 30 of them...really!   And I add more and more each year.

I started with Nutcracker stamp from the Unity Stamp Co.  I LOVE this little guy...as you may have guessed.  :-D    I colored him the traditional green, red, and gold.  (Copics: R12, R14, R20, R39, R46, E00, E11, E50, G12, G14, G17, Y28, N1, N3, N5, 110, 0)

Since the Xpress Card I used is a bright white, I distressed the card with Antique Linen Distress Ink after I colored the stamp.

The papers are from an Old World Christmas pad from Hobby Lobby.  My lace is from Hero Arts and my ribbon is from Lovebug Creations.  I added some pop candy and stickled them up with Candy Cane Stickles.  To add a bit of pazzaz, a mistletoe brad.

Isn't such a perfect card for the challenge?  I think so.  :-)

We would love to see what you create.  Be sure to link up your creation here.

Peachy Keen Stamps Sketch Challenge

 Happy Saturday!

It's finally starting to feel like the holidays around here. We had a smidge of snow the other night and the temps are hanging around freezing.

And....I have been cleaning our home like a mad woman.  Mainly because the hubby is doing some projects around the house, AND he does NOT realize how much of a mess he makes and where all I'm finding sawdust.  I guess the silver lining is that our house is cleaner, right???

I took a break from the laundry and cleaning to do a bit of coloring and crafting.

Peachy Keen Stamps has their new challenge up on the site.  The challenge is a Sketch challenge.  My favorite kind of challenge.

When I saw this sketch, I knew I had to use my Packer Cheesy Fans Stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE this stamp set, and use it any chance I can get.

Here's my take on the sketch.

The snowman, sentiment (inside & out) are from the stamp set.  The mat for the fan is a file from Scraptastical Kreations.  The twine and cardstock/patterned papers are from my stash.  Dew drops are from Miriam's Crafting Supplies

Close up of my Cheesy fan.  Can you believe I used 34 Copics to color him?

I had SO much fun creating this card.  I'm sure it will be sent to someone that I hold dear to my heart this year.  :-)

All that Stickles Linky Party

Happy Saturday!

It's linky party time!  Yep, that's right.  New linky party at All that Stickles!!   Can I get a Woo Hoo?   :-)

The party theme is....

Holiday Home Décor

When I think of holiday décor, two things come to mind.  One is a nutcrackers.  Second is gingerbread houses.  The kids create a gingerbread house every year.  It is so much fun watching the fun they have and the joy they feel.

I used my silhouette cameo to begin this project.  The used a Silhouette file from Lori Whitlock, includes the house, roof, and embellishments.

To create the candy and snow look, I used Stickles...
Xmas Red on the door wreath and peppermint candy pops
Crystal on the round windows
Frosted Lace on window ledges
Diamond on Candy Canes
Icicle on the trees
Eucalyptus on the green swirl candy pops
Rock Candy on the roof.
Phew... I think that's all the Stickles.

I also used Buttercream Liquid Pearls on the gingerbread people and Cocoa Liquid Pearls on the roof.

I just love this little house.  It looks adorable on our fireplace mantel.

Don't forget to link up your creation to our party here

Homespun Holiday Card

Happy Wednesday!

The holidays are almost upon us and I am NOT ready for the decorations.  There are So many things that I want to get done around the house before I start decorating.

Today while I took a break from household tasks, I put some Christmas songs on and created a fun holiday card.

I used the current Peachy Keen Stamps photo challenge as my inspiration.

http://www.peachykeenstamps.com/forums/topic/peachy-keen-challenge-13-45-photo-inspiration/

Aren't these colors wonderful????   They remind me of candy (chocolates) and fun.   :-)

Here's my card..................

It such a fun, country feelin' card, don't you think?

I used the latest Peachy Keen Stamp release for the star, tree, poinsettia, quilt blocks, and sentiment.   The papers are from my Graphic 45 12 Days of Christmas paper pad.  The stitched border was drawn with my Cameo and gel pen.

Before you go, here's a little treat bag I created using the same stamp set.

Autumn Greetings

Happy Wednesday!!

I wanted to share this cute little card with you.

My inspiration was the current Peachy Keen Challenge
The challenge was to create a card with fall leaves.

I started with a Mojo Monday sketch.

I added leaves, pumpkin, and banner from Scraptastical Kreations files, created with Bo Bunny's Apple Cider Paper collection and Core'dinations cardstock.  The greeting is PKSC-09 (Peachy Keen Stamp set).
