My creation....................

The inspiration for my card was the colors of the American Flag.

I am totally in love with the newest release from Peachy Keen stamps.  So I HAD to figure out a way to use it on this card.  I know all the elements do not necessarily go with one another, but I do believe that I pulled it off.  :-D

Sweet Card

Happy Wednesday!

It's stormy here this morning...but that's just fine with me.  It gives me a reason NOT to go anywhere and craft the day away.  :-)

The card I'm sharing with you today did not turn out the way I had envisioned.  For some reason the color combo looked MUCH better in my head and than it does on my card.

This card was inspired by the current Peachy Keen Stamps Photo challenge.

PKC-14-10

I LOVE the colors!  But for some reason, they didn't sit well on my card, visually.  It looked very plain and melded together......so I added a black panel to bring the eye more towards the focus of the card.

Red, White, & Aqua Clown

Happy Tuesday!!!

I am sharing with you today a cute little card.  I had so much fun making this.

I used the Peachy Keen Stamp June SOTM set for the cute little clown.  He was stamped onto Xpress Blending card, and colored with Copics
Face - E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21
Shirts/Shoes/Eyes/Tie/Highlight - BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18
Clothes/Shoes/Ticket - R22, R24, R27, R29, R59
Hair - R32, R35, R37, R39

The inspiration for the colors of the clown was Timeless Twine June Color Challenge
http://timelesstwine.blogspot.com/2014/06/june-color-challenge-red-white-aqua.html

For the base of the card, I used Samantha Walker's Carousel card file from the Silhouette store.

The file has a carousel horse in the middle of the front image.  I modified the file so that my clown would be the focus.  I popped the red tent piece on foam tape...this added a bit of dimension and made the clown more of a focal point.

To highlight his shoes, I accented them with a turquoise Copic Spica pen.

One of my favorite things to do is add glossy accents to the glasses of my images.  So realistic and adds just a bit of fun.

The red cardstock image was outlined with a clear Copic Spica Pen, plus the red polka dots on the clown's shirt.

To give the card a more finished appearance, I outlines the front with Firecracker Twine from my stash.

Peachy Keen Stamps New Release/Sketch Challenge

    Happy Sunday!!

Have you seen the new releases at Peachy Keen Stamps?  They are AWESOME!  I LOVE them.

Also, the Peachy Keen Design Team has a blog hop going on, with a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the Peachy Keen store.

Today I have a card to share with you that I created with the new release and for the Peachy Keen Challenge 14-09 - Sketch challenge.

    PKC-14-09

I used the PKS June SOTM set for the adorable clown and ticket.

They were colored with Copics, glossy accents were added to the lenses of his glasses and a bit of yellow Spica pen to his bow tie and cuffs.

The mouth is drawn freehand with a Copic multiliner, since the face I chose didn't have one.  :-)

I used another clown and face from the June SOTM set for the inside, and the ticket from PKS Circus Treats stamp set.

I created a coordinating envelope with my envelope maker and the Circus Treats stamp set

    For the Love of Vacation

Welcome to another challenge at Red Carpet Studio!

This bi-weekly challenge is inspired by the movie "National Lampoon's Vacation"
This movie is about a family's mishaps travelling across the country from Chicago to an amusement park in Los Angeles, California.

THE CHALLENGE:  Create a project in honor of vacations.  Do you have pictures of your last vacation that need scrapped?  Do you have an adorable new vacation themed digi stamp?

    My creation................

Two of my favorite thing are palm trees and Mickey Mouse (our family vacations are to Walt Disney World).  It's a joke around our house about my obsession with them.  Also, I like to mail cards to my hubby.  I thought it would be fun to mail this card to him, with the inside saying 'more than palm trees & Mickey Mouse.'

The palm tree is from a Miss Kate Cuttables Wild Thing Title cutting file.
I created the Mickey Silhouette in my software.

My layout is based on the Mojo Monday Sketch below.
