Welcome to the first ever Get Inky! Stamps Blog Hop! Our theme for this hop is REPEAT, in celebration of National Repeat Day, which is this Monday, June 3rd! It is a day to repeat anything...such as eating the same thing for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner! Or, for repeating things you've said...are you ready for some blog candy blog candy blog candy? Yes? For my project, I made.......
This beautful card for my hubby! =)
The theme of the hop is...Repeat. My repeat is in the background of my card. I created the backgroud using hearts from two Get Inky! Stamp set, Buzzing Bees & Sew Sweet Cupcakes. I used a resist technique. I stamped the hearts with Versamark ink on white cardstock; then heat embossed with a Recollections brand sparkly embossing power (see below photo). After embossing, I inked the cardstock with Festive Berried Distress ink. As you can see the hearts have a white background, the original color of the cardstock, as the embossed areas resisted the ink.
The sentiment is from the Sew Sweet Cupcake stamp set.

Tonya- I LOVE this card! Earlier today as I was going over the new releases, I noticed how I put hearts on almost all of my sets. I thought to myself, really...and wondered if crafters would be put off by it or use them. And you have now answered this for me! Well done!

ReplyDelete"Hearts, hearts everywhere there's heart's..." I was singing that to the time of "Signs" by Tesla. Don't ask... Maybe I was remembering their Love song "Love will find a way..." After seeing ur card... I like the sparkly embossed hearts that became ur resist background! I will have to try that as the entire background on a card! I like it!
