Love

Happy Sunday!

This week's challenge at Red Carpet Studio is inspired by............

Create a project featuring hearts in honor of Valentine's Day.

My inspiration for this challenge was my family.  I have only been crafting for a few years and I have NEVER made them Valentine's cards.  Gasp!  So, this year I did.

These two cards are for my two little boys (ages 5 & 3) who are superhero fanatics.
Batman & Superman Cricut Cartridges, Pearls from Miriam's Crafting Supplies, Whimsical Designs Stamps

For my 7 year old baby girl.....as any little girl, she is a Disney Princess fan.  On our last family vacation to Walt Disney World, we ate at the 'Be Our Guest' restaurant...she LOVED it.
All Dreams Come True Cricut Cartridge, Pearls, Stamps

My 15 year old is a giraffe lover.  She has a door hanger on her door that I did a few years ago with a giraffe...she won't take it down.

And for the LOVE of my life........

Metal Inspiration

Happy Wednesday!!

Do you use metal embellishments in your creations? As a relatively newbie scrappy, I haven't used too many myself.  So when I was asked to Guest DT for Miriam's Crafting Supplies, I jumped at the challenge.  =)

Here is what I created with just a few of the wonderful items that Miriam's store has.

These embellishments said Fairy Tale to me.  And then I thought Snow White, and Mirror Mirror.  And that's how this started.

I used Silver Stickles on the center of the cameo to give the effect of a mirror.  And in the spirit of Snow White, I used red crumple ribbon from LoveBug Creations.  My original plan was to put Mirror, Mirror as the sentiment, but I couldn't manipulate any of my stamps to create it, and my printer is out of ink.  =)      Then I found this sentiment from Whimsical Designs, and it was perfect!

Be sure to head over to Miriam's Crafting Supplies Blog and link up your creation.
(One entry for the challenge for a submission, two entries for a submission that includes a product from the store).

Happy Sunday!

I wanted to quickly share with you a card.

I just love this card.

I used a few techiniques that are new for me.  The snowflake paper is a Core'dinations White Wash cardstock that I embossed, sanded, and added silver glitter glue.  I stamped the card base.  The sentiment is from a Whimsical Designs stamp set.

Supplies:
Cardstock
Core'dinations cardstock
Glitter glue
Embossing folder
Sanding block
Stamp
Ink
Chalk
Ribbon

Hope my creation has inspired you somehow.

Much Scrappy Love,

Tonya
