Peacy Keen - "Just A Recipe"

Happy Wednesday!

It's a B-E-A-U-tiful fall day here in the upper Midwest.  Enjoying it tremendously!

On this lovely day I wanted to share with you my PKS challenge creation.  This week's theme is "Just Cards: Can I Have That Recipe?"

I am a mother of many.  :-)  So when I think of recipes, I think of my kids.  And one recipe that we were exposed to when we first moved up here a number of years ago was Puppy Chow.  In the South, we never eat it.   It was all barbeque and sweet tea.  ;-)

I used three PKS stamp sets, PKSC-21PKSC-20,  and PKSC-04.  I'm not extremely happy with the way my puppy's head turned out in the picture.  But I don't think I'm ever happy with my coloring.  :-)

I added some liquid pearls in Hot Cocoa.  The papers are from a DCWV Halloween/Fall stack.

For the details on the inside of the card, I merged to files in my Silhouette Cameo.  The paw prints are just darling, aren't they?

Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge 13-35

Happy Wednesday!

Well, school started this week and it's been crazy around Graham Manor.
I have a high schooler who is on the dance team, first year homeschooling a Kindergartener and Second Grader, and to top off the beginning of the week, I took the 3 year old for his annual physical, only to discover a pistachio up his right nostril.

With that type of week, I am finally getting to show you my Peachy Keen Challenge creation.

This week's challenge is a photo inspiration........

Here's my creation..................

I have only make one other tag in my crafty life.  :-)   I LOVE this one.

I took plain manilla tag and inked with distress inks.  Then, I took a peachy background stamp (PK-624), stamped with Versamark and embossed with a clear powder.  While the powder was still warm, I added some dry Star Dust Stickles.

I popped a few ghosts from the PK-131 stamp set.  The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in Memento Ink (Tuxedo Black).

A bit of twine and pearls.....  Fin!

Think this little cutie will be sent in a care package to my BEAUTIFUL granddaughter this Halloween.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challlenge - 3D & Ribbon

Happy Wednesday!

I wanted to share with you my creation for

I didn't know if I was going to be able to join in this week's PKS challenge.  It's been a very challenging week (not to mention the previous weekend) here in the Graham household.  But I did it!  =)

I used a file from the silhouette store and modified it for what I wanted.  I added the hats, hat bands with Stickles, and took off the snowflakes that were originally on two of the snowmen's tummies.  And of course, I added PKS faces!  In fact I used the Winter Faces Assortment.  I colored their adorable carrot noses with Copics and added Orange Peel Stickles.  I also colored their pipes with Copics and highlighted with chalk and gel pen.

For my ribbon, I made cute little scarves for the snowmen.  (The braid handle was created with the same ribbon.)

Have a great day!

Father's Day Cards

Happy Wednesday!

It is with bittersweet memories that I post my creations today.

I lost my father, unexpectedly, 15 years ago.  My Father's Day was filled with both sorrow and joy.  Also, yesterday, June 18th, marks the 25th anniversary of my adoption day, by my then step-dad.

My first creation is a Thank You (for being) The Best Dad in the World card.

I used DCWV's Guy Stack for this.   The Thank You stamp is from Peachy Keen's SOTM set PKSC-09.  It's one of my favorite sets.  =)

My dad was a stock car driver at a local speedway.  I remember going to see him race when I was a kid.

I used Peachy Keen's SOTM set PKSC-11 for the face of the tire and the sentiment 'Celebrate.'  The hearts are from Peachy Keen's Cheesy Packer Fans stamp set.

I colored the nose (of the face) and the hearts with one of my copic markers.

My dad was great!  I cannot express to you how much I miss him.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of him.

4K Graduation Layout

Happy Sunday!

I am sharing a cute layout I created for my little boy.  He was in 4K this year and we just attended his graduation ceremony last week.  So, of course, I had to create a page to place his picture on.  =)

My inspiration for this layout is this week's Peachy Keen Chalenge - PKC 13-22: Sketch.

I took this sketch and expanded to fit my layout.  The image, bottom band, caps, and springs are the pieces of my layout based on the sketch.

I used two Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month sets, April 2103 & February 2013. for this layout.

To create the cute little graduating robot, I took the graduation cap from the April set, stamped and masked it before stamping the robot from the February set.  The cap is red, because my son's cap and gown were red. It will compliment the picture that I'll be placing on this layout.

For My Navy Veteran

Happy Memorial Day!!

I wanted to share with you a cute little card I made with my DH as inspiration.  He is a Navy Veteran.  And he is a very proud one at that.  :-)

I used Peach Keen Stamps Simple Simon's face stamps.  I used glossy accents to give his glasses a realistic look.

The flag 'stick' is Timeless Twine with glossy accents to make it stiff.  The flag is cut from the same paper pad as the background.  The star 'pearls' are from Miriam's.

Get Inky Die Cut Challenge Inspiration

Happy Thursday!

I wanted to share with you my take on the Get Inky's Die Cut Challenge.

I used Blue Moon Creation's Buzzing Bee Stamp Set.  The sentiment and the flowers are both from the stamp set.

(center of flowers with Black Diamond Stickles)

The bee is a die cut from Scraptastical Kreations.  I Stickle her wings, and added a Peachy Keen face in white pigment ink.

Mojo Monday Creation

Happy Monday!!

I want to share with you creation. I orginally started out making this project for for Peachy Keen's May Challenge #1.   Then I saw Mojo Monday's Sketch this morning.

And I thought this paper would be perfect!!

The banner and border on the bottom panel are from Scraptastical Kreations.  The other pieces, including the banana, I created with my Silhouette Cameo.  The face on the banana and sentiments (both inside and out) are from Peachy Keen Stamps

A trifold card....

I haven't made a trifold card before.  And I found a great file from Debbie of BudJuiced by Debbie in a fb group.  It made creating the card so much easier.  The file she created can be used with my Silhouette Cameo.  No hand cutting!  Thanks Debbie!

I created this card with the April PKS Stamp Club set. The jar, fireflies, jar cap, and sentiment are all from the set.
