Red, White, & Aqua Clown

Happy Tuesday!!!

I am sharing with you today a cute little card.  I had so much fun making this.

I used the Peachy Keen Stamp June SOTM set for the cute little clown.  He was stamped onto Xpress Blending card, and colored with Copics
Face - E0000, E000, E00, E11, E21
Shirts/Shoes/Eyes/Tie/Highlight - BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18
Clothes/Shoes/Ticket - R22, R24, R27, R29, R59
Hair - R32, R35, R37, R39

The inspiration for the colors of the clown was Timeless Twine June Color Challenge
http://timelesstwine.blogspot.com/2014/06/june-color-challenge-red-white-aqua.html

For the base of the card, I used Samantha Walker's Carousel card file from the Silhouette store.

The file has a carousel horse in the middle of the front image.  I modified the file so that my clown would be the focus.  I popped the red tent piece on foam tape...this added a bit of dimension and made the clown more of a focal point.

To highlight his shoes, I accented them with a turquoise Copic Spica pen.

One of my favorite things to do is add glossy accents to the glasses of my images.  So realistic and adds just a bit of fun.

The red cardstock image was outlined with a clear Copic Spica Pen, plus the red polka dots on the clown's shirt.

To give the card a more finished appearance, I outlines the front with Firecracker Twine from my stash.

For My Navy Veteran

Happy Memorial Day!!

I wanted to share with you a cute little card I made with my DH as inspiration.  He is a Navy Veteran.  And he is a very proud one at that.  :-)

I used Peach Keen Stamps Simple Simon's face stamps.  I used glossy accents to give his glasses a realistic look.

The flag 'stick' is Timeless Twine with glossy accents to make it stiff.  The flag is cut from the same paper pad as the background.  The star 'pearls' are from Miriam's.

Steampunk Floral Card

Happy Wednesday!!

I've been a busy girl today.  =)  This is my second post today.  That has never happened before.

I wanted to share with you a card I created with multiple inspirations.... the first is the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge, the second is a paper pack I picked up at Michael's for $5, and the third is a Verve Sketch

I just LOVE how this turned out.  It's outside my normal scope of creations.  I love distress, but I don't usually use a steampunk flair.

(The sentiment is from a Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month Set.  The key charm is from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.   The twine is from Timeless Twine.)

All that Stickles Linky Party

Happy Saturday!!

It's time for a new linky party over at All that Stickles!!

The theme this party is Cotton Candy Stickles!  Create ANY crafty project and use Cotton Candy Stickles too.

I created a GC holder/card with my daughter in mind.  I had this paper stack from Michael's with a Paris/France theme.  I was dying to use it!  The paper was pretty awesome already...but I jazzed it up a bit with Cotton Candy Stickles.
