Red Carpet Studio Challenge - "Anything Goes 3D"

Happy Sunday!

It's the 5th Sunday of the month...that means an ANYTHING GOES challenge at Red Carpet Studio....

Here's my creation................

I made a tag album.  I bought some Tim Holtz Kraft Resist and have been dieing to use it.  :-)

To color the paper, I used distress inks in Walnut Stain and Weathered Wood.  The paper was a map of the globe.  And that makes me think of Sailing.  These two colors of inks also make me thing of sailing.  ;-)

I added some charms from Miriam's Crafting Supplies and some twine from my stash.  And with consultation of the fabulous Ashley, I added the text stickers.  The stickers were a bit bright for this album, so I toned them down with distress ink in Antique Linen.

I hope that you are now inspired to go and craft your crafty bum off.

Don't forget to link up to the blog when you're done with your wonderful creation.

Red Carpet Studio Card Challenge

Happy Sunday!!

It's time for a card challenge over at Red Carpet Studios.

This week is going Digital. And our wonderful sponsor provided this adorable image.  (You can find it HERE.)

I colored the digi with Copics and added some Stickles for sparkle.

I added some twine with a rhinestone.  What's a cowgirl without rhinestones?  =)
The image and the star are both popped up on Zots.

My inspiration for the layout for my card is from MojoMonday.   Don't they inspire you too?

Our challenge runs for one week. Be sure to head over to the blog and link up.

All that Stickles Linky Party

Happy Saturday, Stickles Lovers!

It's time for a new linky party over on the All that Stickles blog.

This week's theme is Firefly...
(Create any crafty project using Firefly Stickles.)

Here's my creation....................

A BOOK MUNCHER!

Isn't this the cutest?  I made this for my 7 year old baby girl.  With Summer upon us, I am hoping this gives her a bit of a nudge to read more before bedtime.  =)

The image I used is a digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  The digi is actually a scene.  I used my Cameo and imported the image, traced it, and cut out the piece of the image I wanted for this project.  (Be sure to keep an eye out for the rest of the digi in other projects.)

I colored the image with Copics, and added Firefly Stickles to the wings and antenna.

The butterfly, originally, did not have a mouth, so I added that with a Peachy Keen Stamp from the PKSC-16 stamp set.  I just love the smile!

From the same stamp set, I stamped the sentiment "Spread your wings and FLY!"  I thought this was a great touch.

Be sure to link your creation for a chance at some wonderful prizes from our sponsors.

Father's Day Cards

Happy Wednesday!

It is with bittersweet memories that I post my creations today.

I lost my father, unexpectedly, 15 years ago.  My Father's Day was filled with both sorrow and joy.  Also, yesterday, June 18th, marks the 25th anniversary of my adoption day, by my then step-dad.

My first creation is a Thank You (for being) The Best Dad in the World card.

I used DCWV's Guy Stack for this.   The Thank You stamp is from Peachy Keen's SOTM set PKSC-09.  It's one of my favorite sets.  =)

My dad was a stock car driver at a local speedway.  I remember going to see him race when I was a kid.

I used Peachy Keen's SOTM set PKSC-11 for the face of the tire and the sentiment 'Celebrate.'  The hearts are from Peachy Keen's Cheesy Packer Fans stamp set.

I colored the nose (of the face) and the hearts with one of my copic markers.

My dad was great!  I cannot express to you how much I miss him.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of him.

Star Spangled Stickles Blog Hop

Welcome to the Star Spangled Blog Hop brought to you by the    All that Stickles design team!

"Oh say can you see... by the gleam of Stickles. Oh so proudly we post, our patriotic projects" (if you sing it to the tune of Star Spangled Banner, we promise it makes sense ;)

In non-musical form: Today, the All that Stickles design team has created a variety of patriotic-themed projects using our favorite sparkly embellishment - Stickles!

For my project I made.............

Excuse the homemade collectables and Skylanders toys.... I have kids and I display all their artwork and fun on our mantel.  =)

I used Lori Whitlock's 3D star file from the Silouette store. I embellished with stars and stripes from Paper Studio's Vintage Nation Cardstock Pad. I added Rock Candy Distress Stickles. I inked the edges of the star to give them a bit more depth.

(Distress Stickles on the stars)

Made Especially For You's Blogoversary

Welcome to Made Especially For You's 2 Year Blogoversary Blog Hop!

If you've come from Ashley's blog, you're in the right place!

I am excited to celebrate this event with Ashley from Made Especially for You.  If you don't know her, she is an awesome gal.  =)  She is a smart and very talented crafty girl.

I first 'met' her as I particpated in challenges she hosted at Made Especially for You.  Then I got to 'know' her better as a design team member at Red Carpet Studios.  Then we started this year off with a joint venture, All that Stickles.  It's been kind of a wild ride, but she is fun to ride along with.

Instead of having a theme for the hop, Ashley put together a bingo board full of some of her favorite crafty things and we were to choose at least 3 of them and create a project.

I chose polka dots, twine, 3D, pearls, and Stickles and made a cute little 'A' box.

This box just screams Ashley, doesn't it?

(inside of box)

(back of box)

To coordinate with our bingo board, we have sponsors providing prizes to match each item listed on the board!

Peachy Keen Challenge

Happy Wednesday!

I am sharing with you this cute creation I made for the Peachy Keen Challenge.  This week's challenge was to create a 3D Birthday themed project.

Here's what I came up with......

I made a 3D ribbon for one of my kids to wear.  I used Peachy Keen Stamps' new face set, In The Garden.  I added a little birthday hat with a pom pom.  I think it shows off the cute, little face.  For the sentiment I used PKSC-12 stamp set.  I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed with white.
