Patriotic Pinwheel

Happy Tuesday!!

I am so excited to share with you my first creation for the Action Wobbles blog.

I LOVE how this card turned out.  It's so festive...and fun.

When I think of the Fourth of July, I think of cookouts, fireworks, and family.  And that leads me to pinwheels...I LOVED pinwheels as a little girl.  Instead of an American Flag, I wanted a red, white, & blue pinwheel.  Perfect, don't you think?

I designed my card in the Silhouette Software.  All pieces/mats/banners were sized in proportion to each other.  The pinwheel is an Echo Park cut file from the Silhouette store.  One thing I did add to the pinwheel file was a shadow.  This was so that my action wobble had a base to attach securely to.

This sentiment from Cardz TV is perfect for the pinwheel and action wobble.

Congratulations!

Happy Sunday!

It's time for a new challenge over at Red Carpet Studio

This is my first shaker card...EEK!!

I just LOVE how it turned out.

When I think of award shows/ceremonies, congratulations and speeches are my first thought.  That was my inspiration for this card.  And I wanted the gold (as the Oscar) to be the focus of my card.

.........................................................................

The star and banner are both from Samantha Walker's 1 Piece Shooting Star Banner
I stamped 'congratulations' in gold pigment ink......
Filled the shaker with gold sequins, plus attached a few to the front panel.

For the inside of the card, I traced the 'negative' star with a gold pen in a random pattern.

Star Spangled Stickles Blog Hop

Welcome to the Star Spangled Blog Hop brought to you by the    All that Stickles design team!

"Oh say can you see... by the gleam of Stickles. Oh so proudly we post, our patriotic projects" (if you sing it to the tune of Star Spangled Banner, we promise it makes sense ;)

In non-musical form: Today, the All that Stickles design team has created a variety of patriotic-themed projects using our favorite sparkly embellishment - Stickles!

For my project I made.............

Excuse the homemade collectables and Skylanders toys.... I have kids and I display all their artwork and fun on our mantel.  =)

I used Lori Whitlock's 3D star file from the Silouette store. I embellished with stars and stripes from Paper Studio's Vintage Nation Cardstock Pad. I added Rock Candy Distress Stickles. I inked the edges of the star to give them a bit more depth.
