Merry Christmas and A Ginger

It's my day over at Get Inky Stamps. 

 

For my project, I created a Christmas card, using Blue Moon's Holiday 2013 Stamp set. 

 

 

I used a Silhouette file for the base of the card (the gingerbreak pop out).

 

Once the pieces were cut and assembled, I stamped the front with a star, from the Holiday stamp set, in Versamark Ink. 

The gingerbread man on the front of the card was stamped on Kraft cardstock, hand cut, and embellished with Liquid Applique. 

 

The inside of the card, was embellished with Stickles, of course. 

 

 

 

And once the Stickles were dry, Merry Christmas (also from the stamp set) was stamped, colored with white gel pen and Frosted Lace Stickles. 

 

My daughter saw the card and immediately took possession of it to give to her friend. 

How sweet is that? 

 

 

 

 



 

Ice Cream, Love, & Stamps

Get Inky! Stamps current challenge is "Summer Sun Fun." 

 

When I was a little girl, I remember my parents loading us kids up in the Summer, in our pjs, and going to get ice cream. 

Here is my creation for the challenge..........................

 

 

 

I used Blue Moon Creations' Sew Sweet Cupcakes stamp set for the sentiment and the hearts.  

 

 

The ice cream cones and speech bubble frame are from the Silhouette Store.  I used Peachy Keen Stamps Snow Cuties Face Set for the ice cream cones.  A little twine bow and rhinestone to finish it off.

Floral Fun

We have a new challenge over at Get Inky! Challenge Blog - Fabulous Floral Fun!!

 

 

 

The theme requires the use of flowers on your project.  I used the Blue Moon Creation's Buzzing Bees Stamp Set to create this card.  The stamp set has a flower included, but no leaves/stems. So I got creative. :-) The set includes two 'bee tracks,' one dashed and one solid lined. I took the solid 'tracks' and inked just the portion I wanted and stameds the 'stems and leaves,' then stamped the flower on top. Perfect!! After I added the bee and his trail, I used distress inks (Salty Ocean & Mowed Lawn) to color the background. The flowers and bee were colored with distress and Copic markers. Pearls were added to the centers to give the card some dimension. A touch of icicle Stickles to finish the bee's wings.
